Horton's Point Light in Southold, NY on the eastern end of Long Island, sits 60 feet above Long Island Sound. It was first commissioned by George Washington and first lit in 1857. The last keeper left after the Great Hurricane of 1938.

The lighthouse is an active aid to navigation and features a slow green flash every ten seconds. This is a wonderful gift to all who sail Long Island Sound and love its rich history.

This richly-colored frosted glass beer mug was created from a rare hand-tinted postcard from over a century ago.
